For Employers and Care Providers

What is labour hire?

Labour hire is when a business like Total Quality Employment Solutions employs workers and supplies them to your organisation. We handle their pay, superannuation, insurance and compliance, while the worker carries out their duties under your direction at your site.

Is Total Quality Employment Solutions licensed to provide labour hire in Victoria?

Yes. All labour hire providers in Victoria must hold a licence from the Labour Hire Authority, and Total Quality Employment Solutions is fully licensed. You can check any provider’s licence on the Labour Hire Authority’s public register.

What sectors do you provide staff for?

We specialise in aged care, home care, disability support (NDIS) and early childhood education and care, including OSHC and kindergarten, plus the facility support roles these services rely on.

Which areas of Victoria do you cover?

We cover all of Victoria, including metropolitan Melbourne, Geelong, Ballarat, Bendigo, Shepparton, the Latrobe Valley, Wodonga, Warrnambool, Mildura and surrounding towns.

How quickly can you supply staff?

For short-notice shifts, we aim to confirm a worker the same day where staff are available in your area. More notice gives us more options, so book early when you can.

What checks do your workers have?

Depending on the role, our workers hold a current police check, NDIS Worker Screening Check, Working with Children Check, first aid and CPR certificates, child safety training and vaccination records. We verify every document before a worker is placed.

Are your workers qualified?

Yes. Our workers hold the relevant qualification for their role, such as a Certificate III in Individual Support, Certificate IV in Ageing Support, Certificate IV in Disability Support, Certificate III in Early Childhood Education and Care and Diploma of Early Childhood Education and Care

How much does agency staff cost?

Rates depend on the role, qualification level, shift time and award conditions. Contact us for a quote tailored to your service. Our rates include wages, superannuation, WorkCover and our service fee, so there are no hidden costs.

Who pays the worker?

We do. The worker is employed by Total Quality Employment Solutions, so we manage their wages, superannuation, any leave entitlements and WorkCover. You receive a single invoice for the shifts worked.

Can we request the same worker again?

Yes. If a worker suits your service, let us know and we’ll prioritise them for your future shifts.

What if a worker isn't the right fit?

Tell us straight away. We’ll address the issue and, if needed, provide a replacement worker as quickly as possible.

Can we hire an agency worker permanently?

Yes. Our temp-to-perm option lets you convert a casual worker into a permanent employee. Talk to us about the arrangement that applies.

Do you supply registered or enrolled nurses?

Our focus is personal care workers, assistants in nursing, support workers and early childhood educators. Talk to us about your needs and we’ll tell you honestly whether we can help.

Can we see a worker's compliance documents?

Yes. We can share qualification, screening and first aid records for any worker placed at your service on request.

Do you supply staff after hours and on weekends?

Yes. We fill early, late, overnight and weekend shifts. For urgent requests outside office hours, call.

Do you only supply casual staff?

No. We also offer permanent recruitment for aged care, disability and early childhood roles.

For Job Seekers and Graduates

You’ll need a relevant qualification for the sector you want to work in, such as a Certificate III in Individual Support, Certificate IV in Ageing Support, Certificate IV in Disability Support, Certificate III in Early Childhood Education and Care and Diploma of Early Childhood Education and Care

I've just finished my course. Can I still apply?

Yes. We work closely with RTOs and welcome recent graduates. We’ll guide you through the checks you need and help you find your first shifts.

What checks do I need before I can start?

This depends on the sector. Most roles need a police check, and disability roles need an NDIS Worker Screening Check. Early childhood roles need a Working with Children Check and approved first aid, asthma and anaphylaxis training, and child safety and child protection training. We’ll help you work out what you need.

Can I choose when and where I work?

Yes. You tell us your availability and preferred locations, and we’ll offer you shifts that suit. Many of our workers combine agency work with study or family commitments.

How and when will I be paid?

We pay you directly in line with the relevant award, including superannuation. Pay frequency will be confirmed when you join.

Is there a fee to register as a worker?

No. Registering with Total Quality Employment Solutions is free.

Do I need paid experience?

No. If you’ve completed your qualification and work placement and hold the required checks, we can help you get started.

Do I need a car?

Not always. Many residential and centre-based roles are reachable by public transport. Home care and community access roles usually need a driver’s licence and a reliable, insured vehicle.

Can I work in regional Victoria?

Yes. We place workers across the state. If you live in a regional area, we’ll try to match you with shifts close to home.
